A typical day at Komfy K9
Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION
It’s nice for you to meet us first and I like to meet you, your family and your dogs prior to any stay. Please call to make an appointment.Appointments are extremely important to the smooth running of my day, if you are likely to be late or cancel, please contact me ASAP; I usually have my mobile on me at all times. Times for drop off and collection are 7am until 9pm, no later.Emergency telephone contact details are essential, this is in case anything serious where to happen to I or you during the dogs holiday here. Usually next of kin or relative, it’s also handy to think about any arrangements for your dog/s would make if you’re taken ill or injured during this time. I am then fully prepared for any arrangements that would need to be followed in this event.
FEES
I charge per day, overnight stay is not extra, it is free.A 50% booking fee is required to secure your place at komfy k9, this is non refundable as there are limited spaces, without a cancellation fee I wouldn’t be able to offer a home boarding service, as I cannot usually fill them once already booked. (However I am human and I am happy to try and accommodate a credit note for a future booking if there is a free space during non peak season) I will add 3 weeks cancellation notice is required to allow this, as once a dog is booked into Komfy k9 I turn away other customers for the same dates. Balances for bookings must clear in the bank before any dogs are picked up. It is essential to have completed forms and copies of inoculations by drop off day.
SAFETY
If I feel that a dog is not secure in his/her harness or collar I will use my own, if you are not happy with this, please chat to your carer. It is very important that we have your agreement for your dog/s to stay @ komfy k9 with dogs from other households, this is required by local council licensing (I am insured for up to 6), Also equally important is your permission to allow the dog/s to be let off the lead when out walking with us, if not we will walk them on their leads. Please ensure these are circled on your booking form.
STAYING
All special treatments, meals, grooming, bathing, behavioural problems and medication is subject to the higher rate and must be disclosed during first meeting, please ask your carer.I ask that all dogs that stay with us are child friendly and fine with other dog's, if you have any doubts about this, please chat to me (Cheryl) as most of the time with my experience we can overcome most obstacles before your departure.

Please provide the following:

·         Toys, treats & bones
·          One food bowl per dog, with name on
·          Bed or bedding with own scent on
·        A collar (or harness) & DOG TAG,
.·          Lead
·         Enough food or cash equivalent

The reason I keep to 4 dogs per day is so that if any owner is sadly delayed from returning home, I am able to keep them here for as long as necessary and will charge the normal rate to you for the extra days, payable on pick up. Please just contact me and keep me up to date.
MEDICAL
Dogs must be flea & tick treated, wormed (please check with your vet that the wormer you use is for all types of worms,) kennel cough is not essential, however if they do develop the illness the treatment will lessen the illness slightly, it does not prevent any dog from catching it, I have never had a case of kennel cough here in my home. It costs as little as £15 before their stay @ Komfy K9Medication- the carer will follow instructions for any medication that needs to be administered, however, they cannot be held responsible for 1/ Bad reactions, 2/ Medication not being affective, 3/ Calculations of dosage and days. Visits to the vets either prior arrangement or if I feel it absolutely necessary will be charged at 70p per mile and of course any other treatments paid for on your return. The carer will follow owners "rules" and dogs normal routines, unless they go against Cheryl's behavioural and dominance guidelines, i.e. feeding times, restricted areas etc. (a copy is available upon request) I always ensure that dogs are NEVER exercised with food in their stomach, I will also ensure that on the day that you pick them up they will have an empty stomach, and this is due to some owners wanting to go for a walk as soon as they pick up their dog. This will help prevent any risk of twisted gut. I can never guarantee that a dog will not find food during a walk, but I am very vigilant. Larger “At Risk Breeds will be fed smaller portions twice a day, once after morning walks and then again after their afternoon walk. The causes are very varied, including infections or disease, symptoms start in a very short period after eating.Your dog/s will be cared for by Green leaves, in Bexhill if there are any signs of anything wrong. The more I have a dog stay here the more I get to know them and so will immediately know when they are not themselves and something is not right
